Conversation Design

I work as a writer and language specialist on a text and voice platform, where I am responsible for the Australian English locale. My work sits at the intersection of character writing, editorial consistency and responsible communication.

This includes developing and maintaining the platform's voice and personality, and ensuring it communicates with coherence, warmth and consistency across a wide range of contexts. I write and refine the language and style guidelines that govern how the platform expresses itself, and work closely on localisation to ensure the experience feels genuinely Australian rather than translated.

A significant part of my role involves handling sensitive and edge-case interactions, defining how the platform navigates ethically complex territory, boundary-crossing behaviour and difficult subject matter with care and judgment.
